Information:

Francisco Zamora Arroyo joined the Sonoran Institute in April 2002 to manage our activities in the Delta of the Colorado River. Francisco has extensive experience working in the delta region as a researcher and coordinator of the biogeographic information unit at the Monterrey Institute of Technology-Campus Guaymas, and significant experience working with the following: Geographic Information Systems and remote sensing, natural resource and environmental economics, and land use planning. Francisco comes to Sonoran Institute after having worked at Conservation International-Mexico as operation coordinator where he coordinated project design, implementation, and monitoring. He obtained his Ph.D. in Resource Geography from Oregon State University in October 2002. His dissertation title is: Impacts of Instream Flows on the Colorado River Delta, Mexico: Spatial Vegetation Change Analysis and Opportunities for Restoration.
