Shari Pearson has joined us as the Human Resources Generalist. She is also responsible for all HR deliverables for our organization. Shari brings with her 20 plus years of experience in the field of Human Resources. She said she started her career in HR when she was 12 years old but we don’t believe her. Shari moved to Tucson AZ in the mid 80’s with the Air Force and stationed here at Davis-Monthan. She started her HR career right here in Tucson Arizona with Canyon Ranch. She has held HR positions at Computer Sciences Corporation, EarthLink and Taylor Corporation. Shari found herself moving around the U.S. to increase her knowledge base and skills from Tucson AZ to Phoenix AZ and then to Pasadena CA and finally in Orlando FL. Shari moved back to Tucson AZ from Orlando FL on Jan 1st 2011 and couldn’t be happier to be back in the West. Shari found herself seeking a HR position with an organization that held great passion for the work they provide to the community. Shari feels she has found that organization with Sonoran Institute. Shari received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Park University and her Master’s degree in Career Counseling from Chapman University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Tucson SHRM.
