Devers–Palo Verde Transmission Line Project
Devers-Palo Verde No. 2 Transmission Line Map
Project Description
A new 500kV transmission line in Southern California will connect the Valley Substation in Menifee, the Devers Substation near Palm Springs, and the new Colorado River Substation near Blythe. The line will run approximately 153 miles. Instead of impacting new areas, the line will run entirely in parallel with existing transmission lines. Construction on the line began in the Spring of 2012, and the line is expected to be energized in 2013.
